Climate Action Plan
Purpose
Morish Snacks Limited (MORiSH) is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its business and contributing to the transition towards a lower-carbon and more sustainable food system.
This Climate Action Plan sets out the Company's approach to identifying, reducing and monitoring greenhouse gas emissions and improving environmental performance across its operations, products and supply chain.
Scope
This Plan applies to all activities undertaken by MORiSH, including:
- product sourcing;
- manufacturing partnerships;
- packaging;
- warehousing and logistics;
- office activities;
- business travel;
- procurement decisions; and
- product development.
Climate Commitments
MORiSH is committed to:
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions wherever reasonably practicable;
- improving the environmental performance of products and operations;
- considering climate impacts when making procurement decisions;
- working collaboratively with suppliers to reduce environmental impacts;
- using resources efficiently;
- reducing waste and unnecessary packaging;
- supporting responsible sourcing;
- reviewing progress annually; and
- continually improving climate performance.
MORiSH supports the global ambition to limit the increase in average global temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels and will seek to contribute to this goal through continuous improvement, responsible business practices and ongoing reduction of its environmental impacts.
Climate Action Priorities
Responsible Sourcing
MORiSH will:
- work with suppliers committed to responsible environmental practices;
- encourage responsible sourcing of ingredients;
- consider environmental impacts during supplier selection and review;
- support continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
Packaging
MORiSH will seek to:
- minimise unnecessary packaging;
- reduce plastic use where reasonably practicable;
- increase the use of recyclable packaging;
- continually review packaging materials to improve environmental performance.
Manufacturing & Supply Chain
MORiSH will:
- work with manufacturing partners to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts;
- encourage efficient production processes;
- consider transportation impacts when making procurement decisions;
- support continual improvement by key manufacturing partners.
Waste Reduction
MORiSH will seek to:
- minimise operational waste;
- reduce packaging waste;
- improve recycling;
- minimise unnecessary material use.
Energy & Business Operations
The Company will seek to:
- reduce unnecessary energy consumption;
- minimise paper use;
- encourage digital working practices;
- reduce unnecessary business travel where practical.

Climate Governance
Responsibility for implementing this Plan rests with the Directors.
The Directors will:
- review progress annually;
- consider climate impacts during significant procurement decisions;
- monitor opportunities for improvement;
- approve future climate objectives.
Monitoring & Review
Each year MORiSH will review:
- progress against this Plan;
- climate-related actions completed;
- opportunities for further emissions reductions;
- supplier environmental performance;
- packaging improvements; and
- future priorities.
Resources
Implementation of this Climate Action Plan is overseen by the Directors.
MORiSH will allocate appropriate human, technical and financial resources, proportionate to the size of the business, to implement this Plan. Resources may include:
- Director oversight;
- employee time;
- supplier engagement;
- external specialist advice where appropriate; and
- investment in more sustainable products, packaging and business practices where reasonably practicable.
Stakeholder Engagement
MORiSH recognises that effective climate action requires collaboration.
The Company will engage with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, logistics partners and other business partners, to support implementation of this Plan. Stakeholder feedback will be considered, where appropriate, when reviewing climate priorities, procurement decisions, packaging improvements and other environmental initiatives.
Looking Ahead
As MORiSH grows, the Company intends to:
- improve the measurement of its greenhouse gas emissions;
- strengthen supplier engagement on climate matters;
- continue improving packaging sustainability;
- identify further opportunities to reduce emissions throughout the value chain;
- review the feasibility of establishing science-based emissions reduction targets as the business develops; and
- publicly report progress against this Climate Action Plan each year.
Review Frequency
This Climate Action Plan has been approved by the Directors and will be formally reviewed and updated at least every 36 months, or more frequently where appropriate. MORiSH intends to review the Plan annually as part of its wider governance and sustainability programme to ensure it remains current and reflects changes to the Company's operations, stakeholder expectations and climate priorities.
Any updates to the Plan will be approved by the Directors and communicated to stakeholders through the Company's website.
